Chelsea 2006
In May, 2006 the Lake Forest Garden Club entered a show garden in the Royal Horticulture Society Chelsea Flower Show and was awarded the silver-gilt medal. Over 40 members and spouses attended the show to help install the garden and to volunteer during the show. The title of our garden was: Ravine Garden: Gift of the Glacier. Ravines are an important ecosystem in Lake Forest. The club has taken the knowledge gained from creating the Chelsea entry and 
parlayed it into ravine education for the Chicago North Shore. A ravine fund has been established to fund lectures and projects relating to ravines.
